From your perspective, what are the most pressing people challenges facing Construction firms right now?

This is easy it is leadership for our front-line people.  We promote based on ability to do the job not manage people.

What decisions or trade‑offs do you see HR leaders needing to make over the next 12–24 months that will have the biggest long‑term impact?

We need to think outside the box not at where a person is now, but where can they go in the future.  I have people on my team training with no trade experience, but they were willing to learn.

What would make time spent at LEAP TD: Construction genuinely valuable for a peer in your role?

I attend or speak at these conferences because the exchanging of ideas and meeting people is a value that you can’t put a price on. I always go home energized and excited with new ideas
